I also experimented with some stainless steel yarn in the fingertip to see if that would work for touchscreens. IT WORKS. Ooh, this was a fun tag! Thanks @skeinanigans for asking what I was knitting on this time last year. Almost exactly this day, one year ago, I was also heading back to my place after visiting people for Thanksgiving. I was knitting on a #dottedraysshawl by @westknits on the way home from Friendsgiving. The yarn is a Rainy Day gradient by @appletreeknits ! This shawl now resides in @shopyarnia as a shop sample.

Today, I’m at the airport heading back to Colorado after visiting family in Vegas/Santa Cruz! It’s weird (sometimes still too much to process) how much my circumstances have changed in the past year. I remember being consumed with anxiety about my life, future plans, and grad school all of Thanksgiving weekend last year. One year later, I’m still dealing with a lot of the same traumas, but I’ve found more support in my personal network, and I think I’m overall a little healthier. #pipernell https://ift.tt/2AiJeEE

Oh right, I design stuff 😅 life has been hectic with relocating to Colorado, re-entering academia, and starting fresh in a new field pf research. But I FINALLY HAVE TIME TO RUN THIS TEST KNIT.
The TABA (There and Back Again) socks/slippers are a cozy, quick knit using worsted weight wool yarn. It uses a unique construction with NO knitting in the round and NO short rows. There are 4 sizes to test, ranging from baby to a wide adult foot. Baby/child size testers will need 50g/100yds. Adult size testers need approx. 100g/200yds (possibly extra). Deadline will be mid-December with a release date of December 24th.

I’m trying a different warping process for the Jacquard loom (back to front) versus the frame loom that I warped front to back earlier in the semester. I’m following Peggy Osterkamp’s book series, and she recommends this crochet chain to keep the Randle groups separate.
